Capoeira in Motion was not born in a boardroom. It began during one of the most challenging chapters of my life, in hospital corridors, between treatments, when simply standing up and continuing to move became an act of resistance.

My name is Caline Cezimbra, known in the roda as Professora Areia. I have practised Capoeira since 1999, and its philosophy has shaped the woman, teacher and entrepreneur I am today.

In 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During treatment, movement became more than something I taught or practised. It became part of how I held on to my identity, my strength and my belief in what could still come next.

Capoeira had already taught me that the ginga never truly stops. We shift, adapt, regain our balance and find another way forward. That lesson became the foundation of Capoeira in Motion.

More than a clothing brand

Capoeira in Motion grew from a personal experience, but it was never created to be only about me.

It became a women-led family vision, built alongside my sister and my daughter, connecting three women, different generations and one shared belief: movement has the power to transform how we feel, how we express ourselves and how we face the world.

The name represents both the physical movement of Capoeira and the movement of life itself. We are always evolving, learning, falling, recovering and becoming.

Our clothing is created to move through every part of that journey. From the roda to the gym, from dance classes to running, training and everyday life, each piece brings together comfort, confidence, culture and meaning.

Capoeira is at the heart of our identity. It gives the brand its rhythm, creativity, resilience and freedom.

But Capoeira in Motion is not only for capoeiristas. It is for dancers, runners, fighters, athletes and everyday people who understand that movement is not always about performance. Sometimes it is about healing. Sometimes it is about belonging. Sometimes it is simply about finding the strength to begin again.

The phrases carried on our clothing are more than decoration. They are reminders of identity, courage and self-belief. Every design is created to help you feel comfortable in your body, confident in your journey and proud of what keeps you moving.

Our vision is to build more than an activewear collection. We want to create a community shaped by movement, culture and authentic stories.

A community that celebrates different bodies, backgrounds and stages of life. One that recognises strength without demanding perfection and understands that every person moves in their own way.
